WPC: Shadowed 4

Really, I do not remember where this was. Absolutely no idea. That’s the negative point about film photography, it doesn’t provide EXIF-files. … Kann mich beim besten Willen nicht erinnern, wo ich diese Aufnahme gemacht habe. Absolut keine Ahnung. Das ist der Nachteil von analoger Fotografie: es gibt keine EXIF-Daten. (Konica Hexar AF, Ilford Delta„WPC: Shadowed 4“ weiterlesen

WPC: Warmth

A late entry for this week’s photo challenge, a homeless‘ home in a busy Munich traffic underpass near the main station. The place is inhabited all through the year, probably because it provides a good weather protection and some warmth caused by car exhausts. Due to extremely high costs of living, Munich is the city„WPC: Warmth“ weiterlesen

Fujifilm X-T1, Fujinon XF 56mm and the streets of Berlin (Part 1)

Recently I went to Berlin for some days and of course my new achievements the FUJIFILM X-T1 and the FUJINON LENS XF56mmF1.2 R had to go with me. I have to admit that it took some time to get used to the X-T1 as the controls are pretty much different to my old friend X-Pro1.„Fujifilm X-T1, Fujinon XF 56mm and the streets of Berlin (Part 1)“ weiterlesen

WPC: On the Move 1

Priest in a hurry

Recently I had a little time-out and used it to stroll through the streets of downtown Munich when I saw this priest rushing from left to right and back again over the Odeonsplatz. I wondered what he was doing until I saw the film team in a distance. Actually the guy was an actor in„Priest in a hurry“ weiterlesen

The blue jacket

Shot on the Odeonsplatz, Munich on a rainy day last January. I am still pretty much impressed about the colours and the sharpness the X-Pro1 delivers. The picture is unedited (except watermarking). Fujifilm X-Pro1, Fujinon XF 35mm F1.4 R @ F2.8, 1/60 sec., ISO 800.

Photo of the day #84

Oh dear, another photo of the day forfeited yesterday… I’m actually plundering my archives so here comes some really old stuff. Today’s capture dates back to 1997 when I visited Hong Kong and Macao. Hong Kong already went back to China about half a year earlier and Macao was soon to follow. The only camera„Photo of the day #84“ weiterlesen

Photo of the day #10

This entirely fearless little mate sat in the middle of one of the platforms of Munich main station when I wanted to take my train to Erlangen. He didn’t move a bit no matter how close other passengers approached. He would even let me touch him but didn’t take any effort to climb on my„Photo of the day #10“ weiterlesen

Travelling #3: Sweden

Took a trip to Nyköping in the province of Södermanlands län late last summer. Time was short and Sweden is big so we only had daytrips to explore the beautiful cities of Stockholm and Uppsala, Gripsholms slott (the castle of Gripsholm), the Göta channel and many other destinations.

Travelling #2: France

Some old shots taken during a holiday in France in 2007. This time the Minox 35 ML was the camera of choice. Unfortunately, back in Germany, I had to find out that it sported some light leaking. I guess that’s what 30 year old cameras that where found on eBay for very little money sometimes„Travelling #2: France“ weiterlesen

Travelling #1: The north of Spain

Parts of a series I shot during various visits to the city of Gijon at the Atlantic seaside of Spain over the years. Equipment was kept as small as possible to different fixed lens compact cameras starting with a Rollei 35 from the mid-sixties, a Minox 35 ML from the seventies, the Nikon L35AF AW beach/underwater„Travelling #1: The north of Spain“ weiterlesen
