Dear friends and readers,
today I’m heading off to San Fran and the bay area for a two week vacancy. To be exact my plane and this post are taking off in the very same minute.
If you should presume that I will carry tons of photographic gear on my shoulder when I just should relaxe and enjoy summer holiday I have to tell you you’re absolutely right. This time I even couldn’t neglect to put my “panoramic Godzilla“, the monstrous, massive FUJI GX 617 in the bag. I really hope that the hump will be worth it and there’ll be a lot of Frisco-ramas in the box at the end.
’nuff said. Have a good time everybody, enjoy summer and see you back then in a two weeks.

hui, das klingt gut! viel spass und ich bin gespannt auf die bilder!
Mit den Bildern wird es noch etwas dauern, sind ja schließlich analog und müssen daher erst entwickelt und gescannt werden. (Eine kompakte Digitalkamera hatte ich aber auch im Gepäck.) Ab nächste Woche wird es aber wieder neue Posts geben.
bin sehr gespannt! ist ja klar, dass das ein wenig laenger dauert. viel spass beim digitalisieren ;)

Sehr feinsinnige Analyse des Fotos von Deiner Seite. Tatsächlich ist das Bild eine Montage aus zwei Hälften, da zu keiner Zeit an beiden Bahnsteigen gleichzeitig Züge hielten. Gemacht wurde es mit einer Panorama-Kamera (Fuji G617) auf Stativ, wobei jeweils ein Foto mit Zug am linken und am rechten Bahnsteig entstand. Am Schluss wurden die beiden Hälften dann zusammenmontiert.

Thank you Patti. It was my second time there and San Franciso is one of my favourite cities. But there are still a lot of cities in the U.S. , like Seattle, New Orleans, Boston, New York and Chicago, which are still on my bucket list.
